The Hortus

Hortus is Latin for a cultivated garden. It is the name we gave to the place where our plants grow.

Bicho is an agricultural business founded in 2026 on the plain between the Lepini Mountains and the sea, in the province of Latina, Italy. The sun here is generous and summers bring little rain. That is why we grow the plants that love these conditions: agaves, palms, succulents, Mediterranean and exotic fruit trees.

We propagate them, tend them until they are strong, and ship them across Italy and Europe. Behind Bicho is Antonio, who personally looks after the growing, the packing and every reply.
